Milestone

Blinkbonnie recently passed a pretty amazing milestone, we have delivered over 30,000 lessons since we opened!

New Horses

Suzie  (15.3hh 3yo Bay filly) has recently arrived and is starting her ridden training at BEC, It will be a while before she will be included in lessons but you might see her pretty face around the place.

Stellar (15hh 3yo Chestnut filly) arrived at about the same time as Suzie. She was trained as a racehorse but didn't make the grade. So far she is proving to be very quite and sensible and a lot more mature in her outlook to Suzie so we might see her in the school before Suzie.

Toby (15.1hh 7yo Bay gelding), Toby is also a new arrival but is already being used in lessons. He also raced but had been off theh track for 18 months before he came to Blinkbonnie. He is a lovely guy who is learning the ropes fast. He is already a favorite with a few clients.

Mango and Roger are now being used in lessons and going quite well. The are both a bit like naughty children but are both very nice and friendly!

Thumper (15.1hh 12yo Bay Gelding)who arrived in 2009 is the other recent addition who is already proving his worth in the riding school with several clients enjoying riding him.

Horse's Leaving/Retirement news

Dart and March are living on lovely property in Loch, Dart is looking VERY FAT and happy.  Snoopy is very happy living with Duart in Gippsland. Midnight and Scottie are keeping each other company in retirement at Blinkbonnie.

Sadly on 18 May 2010 we had to put Chilli down.

On Saturday he developed stomach problems which rapidly led to a shut down of his internal organs. The vet gave him a lethal injection at around 3:30 am on Sunday morning.

He will be sadly missed as he was a lovely horse who was not only great to ride but also nice to handle in every way.

RIP Chilli, enjoy your time in the long yard!
